A few of FFF's signature bubble skirts will be featured in Closer magazine in either this month or next months issue. I will post the proofs when I receive them. The shoot was fun. Got to hang out and play all day and watch as they photographed some of my pieces on the models. Not bad for a random Sunday ;) Here are a few snaps from the shoot I took with my camera.




They even did a mini shoot of me. For what, I have no idea. So if random shots of me pop up on the internet looking like a loser don't be alarmed.

My best friend Nicole moved to NYC yesterday :( Made me very very sad, but I am excited and happy for her. I know it was the right thing for her.. Watch out NYC Nicole aka Butthole has been unleashed upon you.. Watch out

So, I decided this week that I am going to have a mass production line of re vamped vintage. There are a couple signature pieces of re vamped vintage that I did for myself over the years that I have not had the heart to sell or part with, so in order to compromise I have decided to mass produce... AHH!!! I found a vintage fabric distributor here in Miami, so the fabric will be vintage as well as the silhouettes. I am prettttttty excited... I am thinking of naming the line
"Ashley & Gemma" After myself and Doodles... My adorably scrumptious Himalayan cat.. Her real name is Gemma, but I call her Doodles aka Muppets... It's confusing...
I know. She actually responds to all of her aliases.. Poor thing lol..

It's almost here!

Fabulous Fashion Finds spring/summer collection debut fashion show is right around the corner! I have been working like a mad woman to get all of the pieces done. I have had a lot of fun with this years spring/ summer collection. I did a whole lot of of my signature bubble skirt with lots of different summer patterns. I will have thrown in some bubble dresses. I really like the pieces i picked for the show. Hopefully you will too!!

I am posting all of the items that will be in the show 4-10-09. It's this friday. I am going to post everything at around 11 pm. That way if you guys see anything in the fashion show you just HAVE to have you can just run home to your computer and but it! :)

Happy Birthday to me

This weekend my friends and I celebrated by 24th birthday. I partied all weekend and then had a luncheon with all my friends and family Sunday. It was really nice. My mom and her b\f live in a gorgeous house in coconut grove, so we had it there. The weather was also really nice.

I leave to NY Thursday to visit my good friend Lindsay. I will be buying for FFF on Sunday. If you guys are ever in NY you have to hit up The young designer market its on 268 mulberry st in Soho.. It's all up and coming designers. The place is only open SaT & Sun. It's a must if you are in the area.

I am very behind on FFF, sorry. I have been so busy with Poodlies that I have not had a chance to put up new merchandise. I will hopefully get to put up a few things tonight.

My birthday is right around the corner. I am going to be 24. OMG i am going to be 24. I feel like i am still 15. Time flys, so my friends and I are having a birthday weekend. :)


Had a very busy day today. Went to many of my accounts for " poodlies" and then I went to meet up with a journalist from the Hurricane UM newspaper. They are writing an article about me and FFF, so she interviewed me and asked me lots of fun questions. They should be printing it right before the earth day fashion show I am participating in.

I found an amazing photographer.. Her name is ellemoss and her photography is insane. I have been browsing through this girls photos and she is very talented. I love her! Check out some of her prints.

Snuggies

Ok, so you know that really weird commercial where all the people are hanging out in backwards robes? Snuggie blankets! After about 5 times of seeing the commercial and seeing how warm and cozy all the actors in the commercial looked, I was sucked into buying one.

I ordered and was ecstatic. Until I saw the grand total ,they had charged me for 6 snuggies. Buy one get one free my bottom. $100 worth of snuggies. So I figured I would wait until Monday and call and cancel. I call and the 1800 is no longer a working number. I call about 5 more times.. I start freaking out a little at this point, so I call my bank and they tell me I have to cancel my card. I cancel the frigin card and get a new one......

2 weeks go by i'm walking into my house and I see a huge elephant of a box at my front door. It's from SNUGGIE!!!!! I already know at this point that I am returning everything, but I am just curious to see what these famous snuggues are in real life....... They were horrible. They were so cheap. I was kinda sad. I was looking forward to being a snuggie fan.

Long story short. Don't buy a Snuggie. I think the best thing about the whole product is "Snuggie". It's just such a great word.


Ok now on to FFF.

Lots coming up this month. I am going to NY on a buying trip next week.
I am also having FFF's spring/summer fashion show. I am still in works with the venue, but most likely it will be April 4th. I will keep you guys posted as to where it will be. I am also participating in a fashion show UM is having for earth day. It is a fashion show with designers that are all eco friendly. :))

I also will be having the debut of Poodlies jewelry line, so there is just a lot of fun stuff going on this month. I am going to try and post all the new merchandise Friday. Sorry I am a bit behind, I just have a lot going on.. More later..

Hot off the press!!

I am soooo hyper! I have had about 4 cups of coffee today. It is 10:30 pm and have no idea how i am going to be able to fall asleep tonight. Today was great. Things are moving up for FFF. I am working on my next fashion show. Looks like it is going to be either April 4th or 11th, so I have to get the creative wheels moving and get things in gear for the show. I will be debuting my spring/summer collection. My favorite seasons! I will be sad to put away my boots, but I am ready to pull out my mini dresses again :)

I made the samples for my new Poodlies items. They are phenomenal, but I'm biased :/

I don't know how I forgot to mention this, but a few weeks ago my friend entered me in a sexy legs contest on a local radio stations web site, which is so not a me thing to do. Long story short I was in the supermarket and the VJ called me and told me live on the radio I had won front row tickets to the Rod Stewart concert. I thought it was a joke. I must of repeated the phrase " Shut up, are you serious?" at least 5 times.

Anyways I ended up really winning, so I took one of my best friends, Nicole to see good old Rod in concert. Our seats were impressive. FRONT ROW! The man has got some moves! Here are a few pics and some other random fun shots.

I have the soul of a drag queen

I think that in my past life I was a drag queen. I absolutely LOVE them. If it was up to me I would walk around head to toe in sequins. I am obsessed with anything that shines or has glitz. I have to always have atleast one sequins item in my store at all times.. This time I have about 3 :).. I found amazing 80's sequins blouses that I will be posting tomorrow.

Had a busy weekend. Went out Saturday with some friends and spent the whole day Sunday sewing. I have LOTS of new goodies! Here are a few...

Fund raising

I participated in another fundraiser this week. Some of the proceeds went to an Eating Disorder organization. I have never been able to understand eating disorders. I just love food way to much. I guess some people have more will power to be a stick than others. I have will power for cookies and chips. lol
I brought my clothes and headbands to the event and did very well.

I got to spend the week with my child hood best friend. She moved to Brazil 12 years ago and I hadn't seen her since. I loved hanging with her again it was as if we had never stopped being friends. She left yesterday. :( Ok more Monday, I have a fun filled weekend.

Happy Monday

Did last week fly by or was it just me? I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. My weekend was pretty eventful. Went out friday with my friends stayed out way to late and then had to wake up early Saturday to take maternity pictures of my best friend. They came out gorgeous. I posted a couple for you guys to see. Sunday one of my old college buddies came into town, so we all went to lunch on the beach and then I had to go style a photo shoot a couple blocks away so we parted ways and I went off to do some work. We did the photo shoot in this really cool back ally on south beach. She was dressed in a 60's vintage flower dress. The shoes were navy blue suede buckle boots. I finished off the look with gold accessories. One of my favorite pieces was a gold vintage buckle belt that was re made into a bracelet. I snapped a couple shots with my phone. Of course my camera was dead, so the quality of the pics is not the best but you get the gist. I will post the final pics when he sends them to me. My weekend was finished off by walking out to the beach and laying on the sand and watching the sunset go down. I have lived in Miami my whole life and don't take advantage of the beach , so it was nice to go out there and take it all in.

I found an amazing site its called http://pandora.com/.. It is basically a radio station that you put in your favorite song and it suggests and plays songs that are similar to the song you like. I love it. I sit on the floor in my studio and listen to all the songs for hours while making my headbands and clothes. It's a great site.
