Fashion Show

I'm exhausted. The last two weeks have been insane. I had my fashion show and I got a couple new accounts for my feather headband line " Poodlies." I love the holidays, but I am a little relieved they are over. The fashion show went really well. I was really happy with the way everything turned out. The turn out was amazing. The place was so packed they weren't even letting people in. Not bad for my first show ;) . I also got some press which was good.

The new stufff

Hey guys!

I am going to be away from my blog for the next week or so. My fashion show is the 17th so it is crunch time. Everything is going well so far. I have found and reconstructed some pretty amazing dresses. I can't wait for everyone to see them. I have been trying to stay on top of my new years dresses and my regular inventory for my store, but as you know I sew and reconstruct everything and I can't do both, so I will be posting new stuff just not as ofter until after the 17th.

I found a great photographer for my show. His name is Matt and can be reached at www.StylusFunk.com

Here are a few new items I will be posting in a couple days! Enjoy

New LOOK :)))

WOW this week has been fantastic! Fabulous Fashion Finds has a new look. Go to www.FabulousFashionFinds.net
and check it out.

My web designer is absolutely great. Her name is Meredith and she is so talented. She has done all of my graphics for me and will always! You can reach her at www.JackandMolly.etsy.com
I highly recommend her!

Today was a big day. My feather head band line " Poodlies" got picked up by a local boutique here in Miami. They were so great and a pleasure doing business with. I will still have my headbands for sale on my site, but I am going to pick 4 other boutiques to carry my line. I want it to be exclusive and intimate since I only make one of each.

My fashion show is 2 weeks away, Dec 17th. It is at Buck 15 a lounge/Club on south beach. I am so excited. Stressed, but excited lol.

I took a great picture of my cat doodles. I have to share it with you lol

Ok enough for today. Stay tuned because I am having a photo shoot with all my new gear, so I will be posting it with in the next couple day :)

I <3 NYC

I have been away on a vacation/ business trip. I saw an old friend from high school. We partied way to much and misbehaved. I love the city. There is something about the hustle and bustle that always brings me peace. I could move their in a second. Maybe I will. Who knows. Now the most important part of the trip was THRIFTING!

We went to several places. Some where outrageously overpriced, but others were ok. I didn't get as much merchandise as I would have liked b\c the prices were not conducive to flipping, but I did find some great items and some good names for you. I recommend :

Opera Thrift ( All proceeds go to supporting the NYC Opera , which I think it fantastic)
New york Vintage( The best vintage botique in the city for vintage designer, but it is $$$$$$$)
Tokio 7

I went to a couple other places, but I cant give my sources away ;) Here are a couple pictures from my vacay!

Richie Rich

Hey guys... Sorry it has been so long. I have been sewing like a mad woman and thrifting. I have some amazing new stuff!
Some of it I didn't even get to photograph because people bought it before I had the chance to, but the stuff I did is AMAZING! Here is a sneak peak:

I have a lot going on this month:
1. FabulousFashionFinds has a new website!
2. Fashion show at the end of November!
3. New years dress collection

It is complete madness, but somehow I found the time to go to my favorite designers fashion show this weekend. Richie Rich from Heatherette had a charity fashion show here in Miami and my girl friends and I went. It was awesome and our seats where pretty spectacular. We got to literally sit on the runway. I took some great pictures of him and even got to meet him after the show! Here are a few pictures from the fashion show:

Here we go

]

aaand we are off! I say there is no better way to start, than from the beginning. My name is Ashley and I am a vintage clothes junkie. I have been a collector since I was 16 and recently just launched my very own Vintage boutique. http://fabulousfashionfinds.etsy.com/

I just graduated from FSU. GO NOLES! ok, sorry about that. Anyways,I have a background in sewing as well as photography, so slowly but surely everything is falling into place. I was a Marketing major and some how I fell into the fashion industry?

I spend my days looking through racks, fixing garments, washing garments and then posting the finished product for the world to see. I know a lot of girls fear vintage b\c they think it smells or is "gross." Well, personally I think that is silly. Like every great history lesson, history always repeats it self and fashion is no different. So, my philosophy is, why not wear one of a kind amazing pieces that no one else will have and not only be original, but also recycle what we already have in an effort to help this beautiful planet we live on. So be sure to check out my store and tell me what you think! Talk to guys soon. xo
